Latcham currently have a position within our Sales and Marketing Team as a Bid Writer / Co-ordinator. The role is focused on generating tender responses, from evaluating the initial enquiry with sales, client services and our commercial team, tracking and managing work progress, to submitting and presenting final bids to clients or prospects as required.

We develop and deliver innovative, leading-edge solutions and provide excellent services to our well-established client base.
As a Bid Writer, your key tasks and responsibilities are:

To work with the Sales and Marketing Team, building a pipeline of current and future contract opportunities and supporting the qualification process.

Maintaining and updating bid information on SharePoint and CRM databases.

To assist in developing and delivering all bids and projects, ensuring pre-qualification questionnaires and all tender documents are completed.

To draft and review bid submission content, ensuring all bids are submitted on time and fully compliant with the customers’ requirements.

Ensure all proposals are formatted and comply with our brand and customer requirements and internal quality guidelines.

Analyse the client’s documents to ensure the responses being created respond implicitly to the questions being asked.

Manage procurement portals, coordinate clarification questions, and then communicate these to clients.

Work with operational managers, mobilisation managers (where applicable) and customers in quality and process improvement initiatives to further develop partnership working.

Coordinate the production of information packs for mobilisation/operational team handovers to include all aspects of the operational solution and liaison on all key matters on the contract.

Work with Project and Contract Managers on new bids through mobilisation and the initial stages of transition periods to ensure all elements of the bid are fully understood by the operational management/mobilisation team.
Key attributes required:

A high level of English (reading & written) – You’ll need to produce work that clearly communicates business requirements.

The ability to use your initiative and balance priorities to achieve results

Effective time management skills – You’ll be required to keep within budget and timescale constraints as set forward by the project requirements.

Excellent communicator.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word & PowerPoint.

Writing – reports, proposals, and other bid management documents.

Presentation skills

General knowledge of Project Management methodology
